Telangana is set to begin the much awaited Rythu Bharosa funds release from March 22, bringing relief to lakhs of farmers who have been waiting for financial support since the start of the agricultural season. The government has decided to ensure timely assistance to help farmers manage cultivation expenses without delay.

The funds will be credited directly into farmers bank accounts, with the first phase expected to benefit nearly 70 lakh farmers. In this initial stage, about 3,590 crore will be transferred, mainly targeting small and marginal farmers with land holdings up to one acre.

To manage the financial load efficiently while ensuring smooth distribution, the government has opted for a phased approach. The second phase will follow after about 20 days, with an estimated 2,650 crore to be disbursed, extending support to farmers with larger land holdings.

The third and final phase is scheduled to be completed by the end of April, ensuring that the entire process is wrapped up within the season. Overall, close to 9,000 crore will be distributed under the scheme across all phases.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is expected to formally launch the fund transfer during a public event, signaling the government commitment to farmer welfare. Officials have also conducted detailed reviews to ensure that the funds reach beneficiaries without delays.

This time, the administration has taken special care to avoid delays that affected farmers in previous cycles. The timely release is expected to ease financial pressure and support agricultural activities during the ongoing season.
