In a significant political development, senior Congress leader and former minister Jeevan Reddy has announced his resignation from the party, ending his long association amid rising dissatisfaction.

The decision came after a meeting with his supporters, where he openly expressed frustration over what he described as a lack of recognition within the party. Soon after his announcement, a large number of his followers also chose to leave, highlighting the impact of his exit.

Jeevan Reddy alleged that certain leaders within the party were attempting to sideline him and weaken his presence in his stronghold. He stated that efforts were being made to suppress his role, which ultimately led him to take this step.

He made it clear that political struggles are not new to him, recalling his past battles with prominent leaders. He also indicated that he is prepared to take on new challenges going forward, even if it means confronting current leadership.

Interestingly, just days before his resignation, he had mentioned that he had no intention of switching parties at this stage of his career. He had also urged party leadership to address internal concerns and prevent issues related to leadership conflicts.

Despite attempts by party leaders to persuade him to stay, he said that patience has its limits. His resignation now raises questions about internal unity and leadership management within the Congress in Telangana.
