SIR in Hyderabad: Voters Asked to Submit Correct Forms to Avoid Electoral Issues
Phase three Special Intensive Revision begins in Hyderabad with voters advised to file correct forms early to update electoral details avoid address errors and ensure smooth verification during checks process.

- SIR phase three begins in Hyderabad voter updates urged
- Form 6 Form 7 and Form 8 used for electoral corrections
- Early form submission helps avoid verification issues
As phase three of the Special Intensive Revision begins across Telangana voters in Hyderabad have been urged to submit the appropriate forms to ensure their electoral records remain accurate and up to date.
Officials said the form an elector needs to fill depends entirely on the type of correction required in the electoral roll. The exercise is aimed at updating voter information and reducing discrepancies during verification.
The Election Commission of India provides three commonly used forms. Form 6 is meant for citizens above eighteen years who are not enrolled as voters anywhere in the country. Form 8 is used for change of address or correction of personal details. Form 7 applies to deletion of names due to death or duplication.
Electors can submit these forms online through official portals or offline by contacting Booth Level Officers. Mee Seva centres are also assisting people who are not comfortable with digital applications.
Officials highlighted that frequent movement within city localities often results in incorrect addresses on voter cards. Such mismatches can lead to complications during the enumeration stage when BLOs conduct door to door verification.
If an elector is unavailable at the listed address the BLO may mark the voter as absent. Authorities also noted that enumeration forms are issued only to those whose names exist on the roll at the time of the SIR announcement making timely registration important for new voters.
Meanwhile family mapping also known as progeny mapping has begun across Telangana. Voters are being linked to older rolls using details of parents or grandparents. Those successfully linked will not need documents while others may be asked to submit proof later.
