A tragic incident unfolded in Telangana as a 16 year old student who had attempted suicide days earlier passed away on the same day SSC public examination results were declared. The girl had successfully cleared the exam, scoring 530 marks.
The student, identified as Darelli Varshitha from Chinthagurthy village in Raghunadhapalem mandal of Khammam district, had attempted suicide on April 25 following a reprimand from her mother over a routine issue at home.
After the incident, she was initially admitted to a private hospital in Khammam. As her health condition deteriorated, she was shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad for advanced treatment. Despite medical efforts, she died while undergoing treatment on Wednesday.
Her death has left the family and local community in deep shock, especially as it coincided with the release of SSC results that confirmed she had passed with good marks.
The body was later brought back to her native village, where family members and relatives performed the final rites on Thursday. The incident has once again raised concerns about emotional stress among students and the need for supportive communication within families.
