Telangana Fixes Engineering College Fees for Three Academic Years
Telangana admission authorities fixed private engineering college fees for three academic years bringing clarity for students with unchanged reduced and increased slabs across institutions pending official government notification release soon.

After months of uncertainty the fee structure for private engineering colleges in Telangana has been settled for the next three academic years. The Telangana Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee has finalised the fees for the 2025 to 2028 period and submitted its report to the state government.
The decision covers 157 private engineering colleges across the state. While several institutions will continue with existing fees a significant number have seen revisions based on expenditure academic standards and infrastructure assessments carried out by the committee.
Officials confirmed that fees remained unchanged in 70 colleges while 63 institutions received approval for increases. At the same time fees were reduced in 19 colleges offering some relief to students and parents. An official government order is expected shortly to formalise the decision.
Among the colleges CBIT recorded the highest approved fee at one lakh eighty three thousand rupees marking an increase from the previous academic year. Variations in fee hikes were observed with some colleges seeing marginal increases and others facing higher revisions based on their proposals.
The committee stated that the exercise aimed to strike a balance between institutional sustainability and student affordability ensuring transparency and stability for the coming admission cycles.
