Telangana Govt Assures Full Support to Tollywood Says Bhatti Vikramarka

The Telangana government has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Telugu film industry, with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka stating that Tollywood will always have the backing of the state.

Speaking at a media interaction organised by the Telangana Gaddar Film Awards Committee in Hyderabad, Vikramarka said the government is determined to position the city as a central hub for the Indian film industry. He revealed that a clear blueprint has already been prepared to strengthen cinema related infrastructure and opportunities.

Highlighting Hyderabad’s strengths, he said the city offers a unique mix of talent, favourable climate and modern facilities that make it ideal for film production. He added that cinema plays a dual role by delivering social messages while also driving economic growth.

Vikramarka underlined that the film industry has the potential to generate large scale employment, directly and indirectly benefiting thousands of families. He said the government views the sector not just as entertainment but as a key contributor to the state’s economy.

Conveying the message of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, the Deputy Chief Minister assured filmmakers that the government would extend assistance whenever required by the industry.

The meeting was attended by Film Development Corporation chairman and producer Dil Raju along with other industry representatives. Officials confirmed that the Gaddar Film Awards ceremony will be held on March 19, with noted music director Mani Sharma appointed as the jury chairman.

With renewed assurances and structured planning, the state government aims to strengthen Hyderabad’s position as a leading destination for filmmaking while ensuring sustained growth for Tollywood.
