The Telangana government has begun preparations for Ramzan 2026 by inviting tenders for packaging gifts that will be distributed to minority families across the state. The initiative is being coordinated by the Minority Welfare Department as part of its annual festival support programme.
According to officials, e short tenders covering both technical and financial bids are open to government agencies manufacturers and suppliers. The application process will remain open until February twelve with the e tender officially released on February seven. A pre bid meeting is scheduled for February nine at three in the afternoon.
The government plans to distribute around four point five lakh gift packets during the holy month which is expected to begin on February nineteen. Gift kits for men will include a kurta pyjama set while women will receive a white or off white saree along with a blouse dupatta and chudidar.
Officials said the tender process has been launched well in advance to ensure timely procurement packaging and smooth distribution. The move reflects the state’s focus on organised planning and inclusive welfare ahead of major religious occasions in Hyderabad and across Telangana.
