Police case registered and investigation underway
A heartbreaking incident has emerged from Telangana’s Sangareddy district, where a young mother and her two children were found dead inside their home, sending shockwaves through the local community.
The woman, identified as Mamatha, aged 27, was reportedly battling severe emotional distress following the death of her husband, Pentaiah, who died in a road accident earlier this year in January. According to police, the loss had a profound impact on her mental health, leaving her struggling to cope with daily life.
The incident took place in Julkal village of Kandi mandal on Saturday, March 28. Authorities stated that Mamatha allegedly administered poison to her two children, Manikanta aged 5 and Pralaya aged 4, inside their residence.
After ensuring the children had died, she is believed to have taken her own life by hanging. The tragic sequence of events has raised concerns about mental health support and the challenges faced by individuals dealing with personal loss.
Local police from Indrakaran station have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter. The bodies have been shifted to a government hospital in Sangareddy for postmortem examination.
Officials say further details will emerge as the investigation progresses, while the incident continues to highlight the urgent need for emotional and psychological support systems in vulnerable situations.
