A tragic road accident on Sagar Road near Hastinapuram has claimed three lives, including two BTech students, leaving the local community and students in shock. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when a speeding car reportedly went out of control.

According to initial reports, the car driver, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, was driving recklessly before crashing into a two wheeler and a pedestrian. The impact was so severe that the victims were dragged for nearly one hundred meters before the vehicle overturned.

The two students who lost their lives were identified as Shiva and Sandeep, both studying at Mahaveer Engineering College. A third victim, a young man who was walking along the road at the time, also died in the accident.

The incident triggered strong reactions from fellow students, who gathered at the spot and staged a protest. They demanded strict action against the driver and raised slogans calling for justice.

Police reached the scene and brought the situation under control while registering a case. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact sequence of events and take appropriate legal action against those responsible.

The accident has once again highlighted concerns over reckless driving and road safety, especially incidents involving drunk driving that continue to put lives at risk.
