Intermediate public examinations in Telangana are set to begin on February twenty five and will continue until March eighteen, with exams scheduled daily from nine am to twelve noon. The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education has completed all arrangements to ensure smooth and fair conduct.
Inter Board Secretary Krishna Aditya said a total of 9,97,075 students will appear for the exams across the state. Of them, 4,89,126 are first year students while 5,07,949 are second year candidates. To accommodate them, 1,495 examination centres have been established.
Most centres are located in government junior colleges, aided institutions and private colleges. Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts have a higher number of private college centres, while other districts rely largely on government colleges. Students have been advised to reach exam centres at least thirty minutes early. While entry will be allowed up to five minutes late, officials cautioned that late arrival could disadvantage students.
Around 28,500 invigilators have been deployed, with coordination from multiple departments to maintain discipline. Each centre will function under continuous surveillance, with nearly 30,000 CCTV cameras monitoring exam halls. Authorities confirmed that five centres with earlier practical exam issues have been removed to avoid complications.
All basic facilities including drinking water and seating arrangements are in place. Question papers will not be issued before noon, and any irregularities will be handled by the malpractice committee. Officials also clarified that hall tickets have been issued even to students facing fee related issues, ensuring no eligible student is denied the chance to write exams.
Strict measures have been introduced to prevent mass copying, while officials stressed that student welfare remains a priority throughout the examination period.
