Banjara Hills Accident Kills Rapido Rider and Woman After Tanker Crash

A tragic road accident in Hyderabad claimed two lives after a speeding water tanker crashed into a motorcycle in the upscale Banjara Hills area. The impact was so severe that both the rider and the pillion passenger died on the spot.
Police identified the deceased rider as Syed Hussain from Santoshnagar, who worked as a traffic home guard and also drove for Rapido after duty hours. The woman killed in the accident was Akshita, a resident of Vizianagaram district, who had booked a ride earlier that morning.
According to preliminary investigation, the incident occurred near Road Number Ten when the tanker hit the bike from behind at high speed. Eyewitnesses said the collision threw both victims onto the road, leaving them with fatal injuries.
Police rushed to the spot soon after receiving the alert, secured the area and shifted the bodies for postmortem examination. A case has been registered, and authorities are examining whether overspeeding or negligence led to the crash.
The accident comes just days after another high profile crash in the city, adding to growing public concern over frequent road mishaps and lax traffic discipline in Hyderabad.
