Kishan Reddy Writes to CM Revanth Reddy Seeking Fast Track of Ramagundam NTPC Second Phase Project

Union Minister Kishan Reddy urged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to speed up the Ramagundam NTPC second phase project which aims to generate 2400 megawatts of power for Telangana.

Union Minister Kishan Reddy has written a letter to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy requesting the state government to accelerate the Ramagundam NTPC second phase project. The project is considered crucial for strengthening power generation capacity in the region.

According to the Union Minister the second phase of the Ramagundam NTPC project will include the construction of three additional power units. Each unit will have a capacity of 800 megawatts bringing the total generation capacity of the phase to 2400 megawatts.

Kishan Reddy stated that NTPC has already begun taking steps to move forward with the remaining three power projects as part of the second phase. He emphasized that the project will significantly contribute to meeting the growing electricity demand.

The minister also highlighted that the majority of the electricity generated in the second phase will benefit Telangana. Similar to the first phase about 85 percent of the power produced from the project will be supplied exclusively to the state.

He urged the state government to extend necessary cooperation so that the Ramagundam NTPC second phase project can be implemented quickly. Faster progress of the project is expected to enhance power availability and support industrial and economic development in Telangana.
