- Telangana government begins Rythu Bharosa funds release on March 22.
- Rythu Bharosa funds will be deposited in three phases for eligible farmers.
- Small farmers will receive first phase Rythu Bharosa funds in Telangana.
The Telangana government has announced that the first phase of Rythu Bharosa funds will be released on March 22, offering financial support to farmers waiting for assistance during the Yasangi cultivation season. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will officially launch the fund transfer during a public programme scheduled in Narmetta of Siddipet district.
According to government officials, the funds will be credited directly into farmers bank accounts. In the first phase, priority will be given to farmers who own up to one acre of land. The move is expected to benefit a large number of small and marginal farmers across the state.
The government has planned to distribute the financial assistance in three phases. During the first phase, nearly Rs 3590 crore will be transferred to the bank accounts of around 70 lakh farmers under the Rythu Bharosa scheme. Officials said this is part of the government effort to provide timely investment support to cultivators.
After the initial release, the second phase of funds will be transferred approximately twenty days later. In this stage, about Rs 2650 crore is expected to reach eligible farmers accounts. The final phase of payments is likely to be completed before the end of April.
Altogether, the state government plans to deposit nearly Rs 9000 crore into farmers accounts through the three phase distribution of Rythu Bharosa funds. The scheme was introduced to support farmers with investment assistance for agricultural activities and crop cultivation.
Under the Rythu Bharosa programme, eligible farmers receive Rs 12000 per acre every year. The financial support is provided in two instalments of Rs 6000 each. The assistance is intended to help farmers manage cultivation expenses and strengthen agricultural productivity.
While the first phase will benefit farmers owning up to one acre of land, the government has not yet announced clear details about the landholding limits or number of beneficiaries for the remaining phases. Officials indicated that farmers owning three to five acres may receive funds during the final phase.
There is also discussion about whether the assistance will be limited only to farmers already registered during the previous agricultural season or if newly registered farmers will also be included. Authorities say the number of beneficiaries under the Rythu Bharosa scheme may increase compared to the previous season.
