A high profile drugs investigation in Hyderabad has taken an international turn after authorities linked the Moinabad farmhouse case to a death reported in Dubai. The development has intensified scrutiny on the alleged network and its financial transactions.
According to the Special Investigation Team, the case now connects to a man identified as Kedar, who reportedly died in Dubai in 2025 due to a suspected overdose. Investigators have uncovered links between Kedar and several individuals associated with the farmhouse incident.
Among those under the scanner are former Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy, his brother Ritesh Reddy, and Namith Sharma. Police stated that all three had interactions or connections with Kedar, raising questions about the extent of the network.
A significant breakthrough in the investigation came through financial records. Officials identified a transaction of ₹25 lakh transferred from Ritesh Reddy’s bank account to Kedar. This money trail has become a crucial piece of evidence in understanding the alleged drug network’s operations.
Authorities believe multiple individuals involved in organizing or attending drug parties made payments through this network. Names such as Shirish, Kaushik Ravi, and Arjun Reddy have also surfaced during the probe, with investigators examining their roles and financial links.
The SIT has presented these findings in court while seeking extended custody of the accused. The petition highlighted several suspicious financial transactions connected to individuals believed to be part of the drug party circuit.
Officials say the investigation is now focused on mapping the full extent of the network, including international connections, financial flows, and the circumstances surrounding Kedar’s death. The case is expected to expand further as more evidence emerges.
With the Dubai link adding a global dimension, the Moinabad drugs case has evolved into a complex investigation involving cross border connections and a deeper financial trail.
