Telangana is currently grappling with intense heatwave conditions as temperatures continue to surge across the state. Officials have issued warnings indicating that the situation may worsen over the next two days, with maximum temperatures expected to touch 45 degrees Celsius.

The rising heat has already set records in several areas. Dasturabad in Nirmal district reported the highest temperature at 44.5 degrees, while regions in Adilabad and Nalgonda closely followed with similar extreme readings. Several districts including Mancherial, Nizamabad, Jagityal, and Mulugu have also recorded temperatures above 44 degrees, highlighting the widespread impact of the heatwave.

Authorities have placed multiple districts under orange alert as hot winds continue to affect at least 20 mandals. Northern Telangana is witnessing particularly harsh conditions, with areas such as Jainoor, Dahegaon, and Sirpur experiencing relentless heat throughout the day.

Across the remaining districts, temperatures are consistently ranging between 42 and 43.9 degrees, creating uncomfortable and potentially dangerous conditions for residents. The heat is being felt early in the day, with temperatures rising sharply from morning hours and persisting well into the evening.

Officials are advising people to take precautions and avoid stepping out during peak hours unless absolutely necessary. The period between late morning and afternoon is expected to remain the most intense, increasing the risk of heat related illnesses.

Health experts recommend staying hydrated even if there is no immediate feeling of thirst. Drinking water regularly along with fluids such as coconut water and oral rehydration solutions can help maintain body balance. Wearing light cotton clothing and using protective items like umbrellas or caps while stepping outside can reduce exposure.

Residents are also advised to avoid consuming dehydrating beverages and instead focus on fresh fruits and vegetables that help the body stay cool. In case of heatstroke symptoms, immediate medical attention is essential, along with basic first aid measures such as moving the affected person to a shaded area and cooling the body.

With temperatures expected to rise further, authorities continue to monitor the situation closely while urging the public to remain cautious and follow safety guidelines.
