A shocking murder case surfaced in Jubilee Hills after Sunita, the wife of retired IPS officer and former Bihar DGP Vinay Ranjan Ray, was found dead inside her residence on Saturday morning.
The incident took place in the Prashasan Nagar area, one of Hyderabad’s prominent residential localities, creating concern among residents and officials alike. Police said the 65 year old woman was allegedly murdered inside the house while no other family members were present.
According to preliminary investigation findings, the attackers reportedly slit her throat in a brutal manner before fleeing the scene. Family members later discovered the body and immediately alerted the police.
Investigators suspect that the crime may have been committed with the intention of theft or robbery. Police officials are particularly focusing on the role of a domestic worker employed at the residence, who has reportedly been missing since the incident came to light.
Senior police officers, including officials from the West Zone, reached the crime scene soon after receiving information. Clues teams and dog squads were deployed to collect forensic evidence and examine the surroundings.
Special teams have also been formed to trace the suspect and investigate all possible angles connected to the murder. Authorities are currently reviewing evidence and questioning people linked to the household.
