Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy strongly reacted to the growing controversy surrounding the NEET UG 2026 examination cancellation and alleged paper leak issue, calling it a serious failure that has shaken student confidence across the country.

Expressing concern over the impact on nearly twenty three lakh students, the Chief Minister said repeated irregularities in national level examinations are damaging the credibility of the education system. He stated that lakhs of students and parents are undergoing emotional stress because of uncertainty surrounding the examination process.

Revanth Reddy demanded a transparent investigation into the matter and urged the Central government to identify and punish all individuals involved in the alleged paper leak network. According to him, competitive examinations should reward merit and hard work, not become opportunities for organized malpractice.

The Chief Minister warned that paper leak mafias are creating fear and frustration among students preparing for crucial entrance examinations. He said the Centre must immediately strengthen security systems and examination monitoring mechanisms to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Drawing comparisons with previous paper leak controversies witnessed in Telangana, Revanth Reddy criticized the handling of such issues by governments and remarked that negligence in dealing with examination fraud harms the future of deserving students.

He also assured students not to lose confidence during the ongoing controversy. The Congress government, he said, would always stand with students and support measures aimed at protecting their academic future.

Revanth Reddy further stressed that the country urgently needs comprehensive reforms in the conduct of national examinations so that students can prepare without fear, confusion, or distrust in the system.

The NEET UG 2026 issue has already triggered nationwide debate, with students, parents, and educational experts demanding accountability and stronger safeguards in the examination process.
