Six BRS Leaders Injured After Apartment Lift Crashes in Manikonda
Six BRS leaders were injured after an apartment lift collapsed from the fifth floor in Manikonda during a meeting related to preparations for a political padayatra programme.

A major accident took place in Hyderabad’s Manikonda area on Saturday after a lift inside an apartment building suddenly crashed while carrying six BRS leaders.
The incident happened at an apartment complex in Dollar Hills, where a preparatory meeting was being held for an upcoming padayatra planned by Rajendranagar constituency in charge Karthik Reddy.
After the meeting ended, six party leaders entered the lift to go down to the ground floor. While the lift was descending, a serious technical failure reportedly occurred and the lift wires snapped unexpectedly.
Within seconds, the lift fell from the fifth floor, leaving the passengers trapped and injured before they could react. The sudden crash created panic among apartment residents and others present in the building.
According to initial reports, all six leaders suffered injuries in the accident. Two of them were said to be in serious condition after sustaining severe leg injuries due to the impact of the fall.
Residents of the apartment and other party members rushed to the spot immediately after hearing the loud crash. The injured were rescued from the damaged lift and given first aid before being shifted to hospitals.
The two seriously injured leaders were later moved to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills for emergency treatment. Further details about their condition are awaited.
