The incident occurred on Friday in Ward 26 of Bhongir town in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. The victim, identified as Harsha, was suddenly attacked by a street dog while he was in the locality. The animal reportedly bit and injured the boy, causing severe wounds to his head and right eye area.
Family members and local residents rushed to the spot after hearing about the attack. They managed to chase the dog away and immediately shifted the injured child to the district hospital in Bhongir for medical treatment. Doctors are monitoring his condition and providing necessary care.
The latest incident has brought back painful memories for residents, as a similar attack took place in the town just a few months ago. In March, another boy named Priyansh suffered a severe dog bite attack that resulted in the loss of an eye, triggering widespread concern among the local community.
Residents say repeated attacks have created fear among families, especially those with young children. Many parents are worried about allowing their children to play outdoors as stray dog incidents continue to be reported from different parts of the town.
