As intense summer temperatures continue to rise across several parts of the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged citizens to remain cautious and follow important safety measures during extreme weather conditions. With many regions reporting severe heat and uncomfortable weather, concerns over public health have also increased.
The Prime Minister shared key precautions and encouraged people to avoid unnecessary outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours when temperatures remain at their highest levels. He stressed the importance of staying protected during prolonged exposure to heat.
People were advised to drink enough water and consume sufficient fluids regularly to prevent dehydration. The message particularly focused on vulnerable groups including children, senior citizens, farmers, and workers who spend long hours outdoors.
Narendra Modi also highlighted the need to support others during extreme weather conditions. He appealed to people to care for elderly individuals and encouraged citizens to arrange drinking water for birds and animals outside homes and commercial areas.
He also cautioned people not to ignore early symptoms linked to heat related illness. Dizziness, weakness, nausea, and unusual tiredness can often indicate heat stress and should not be taken lightly. Immediate attention and quick response can help prevent serious health problems.
Meanwhile, weather conditions continue to remain severe in several states including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh coastal regions, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Bihar, and Odisha. According to weather forecasts, some regions around Delhi and nearby areas may experience light rainfall in the coming days, which could bring slight relief from the heat.
