Dry Weather Continues Across Karnataka as Bengaluru Feels the Chill

Dry weather continues across Karnataka today as Bengaluru wakes to mild cold conditions prompting doctors to advise warm clothing balanced diet and caution for children elderly residents across the state

Karnataka continues to experience dry weather conditions, with chilly mornings being reported in several regions including the state capital. The Meteorological Department said the prevailing dry air pattern that has settled over the state for the past few days is likely to remain unchanged today.

In Bengaluru, residents began the day with cool temperatures and clear skies. While the cold was slightly less intense compared to previous days, the weather remained brisk enough for doctors to caution people against neglecting basic health precautions. Medical experts have advised citizens to wear warm clothing, consume nutritious meals and avoid prolonged exposure to early morning cold, especially children and senior citizens.

Weather officials said the dry spell is affecting almost all parts of the state. Coastal districts such as Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Uttara Kannada are also witnessing dry conditions, though temperatures there remain relatively moderate compared to interior regions.

North Interior Karnataka continues to report dry and cold weather, with districts including Belagavi, Bidar, Vijayapura, Bagalkote, Kalaburagi, Raichur, Ballari and Yadgir experiencing similar conditions. Southern Interior districts like Mysuru, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, Mandya, Tumakuru, Chikkaballapur and Bengaluru Rural are also under the influence of dry air.

According to the forecast, Bengaluru is expected to record a minimum temperature of around fifteen degrees Celsius and a maximum of about thirty degrees Celsius today. Health professionals say such temperature variations can impact immunity and trigger seasonal illnesses if adequate care is not taken.

The weather department has urged residents across the state to remain cautious during early morning and late night hours. With no immediate signs of rainfall, authorities say the dry conditions may persist, making hydration and protective clothing essential for the coming days.
