Authorities launched a major demolition drive in Ailapur village under Aminpur municipality in Sangareddy district, as HYDRAA officials moved in to clear illegal constructions built on disputed lands.
The operation saw a large deployment of police forces alongside HYDRAA teams due to tense conditions in the area. Officials maintained strict security arrangements to prevent any clashes while the demolitions were underway.
According to sources, the drive is focused on protecting government and inam lands that were allegedly encroached upon. Officials are also planning to fence the identified land parcels to prevent further illegal occupation.
During the operation, structures including a farmhouse built across nearly two acres and a guest house linked to advocate Mukheem were demolished. These constructions were reportedly located in survey numbers 171, 172, 173, 175, 212 and 213, which fall under land currently under legal scrutiny.
The demolition drive has drawn attention following recent public statements by activists and legal representatives. Last week, MRPS leader Mandakrishna Madiga along with advocate Mukheem addressed the media, raising concerns and calling for protection of the village from HYDRAA actions.
Officials stated that the land in question spans around 1264 acres and is under court jurisdiction, making the enforcement process sensitive. The presence of HYDRAA in large numbers reflects the importance attached to safeguarding these lands.
Authorities indicated that the action is part of a broader effort to ensure that public lands are preserved and illegal constructions are removed in accordance with legal procedures.
