- Kavitha TRS name plan for new party
- TRS new agenda and Telangana sentiment focus
- Kavitha to contest from Siddipet Gajwel seats
Kalvakuntla Kavitha is intensifying efforts to launch her new political party, with strong indications that she may adopt the TRS name to reconnect with Telangana sentiment. The move is being seen as a strategic attempt to revive emotional appeal among voters while presenting a fresh political agenda.
Speaking recently, Kavitha suggested that the TRS name is currently available and could be used by anyone, sparking widespread political discussion. She emphasized that her party would follow the ideological path of Professor Jayashankar while introducing a new flag and direction, making it clear that the identity would be both familiar and different.
Preparations for the party launch are already underway, with the formation event expected to take place on the 25th of this month. Telangana Jagruthi members are actively managing the arrangements, and the party registration process has reportedly begun with the Election Commission under a different name. However, the possible shift to TRS has now become the center of attention.
On the electoral front, Kavitha has hinted at contesting from key constituencies. She expressed readiness to enter the race from Siddipet if women reservation is implemented, while also keeping Gajwel and Nizamabad as strong options. Her comments suggest a calculated political entry targeting high profile segments.
Kavitha also made it clear that her primary political opposition would be the Congress party, while criticizing BRS as a party driven by wealth. She reiterated that her political journey remains rooted in the Telangana movement and that she continues to carry forward that spirit through her initiatives.
Referring to the evolution of TRS, she noted that the party played a crucial role in achieving statehood and later transformed into BRS. The name change, according to many political observers, impacted public perception during the last elections. Kavitha appears to be banking on this gap, hoping to reclaim the original emotional connect associated with TRS.
She further underlined that her party would stand with grassroots activists and honor the sacrifices made during the Telangana movement. Kavitha also spoke about her personal beliefs, mentioning that she draws inspiration from the Bhagavad Gita and believes in perseverance and effort in political life.
With the political landscape in Telangana witnessing new shifts, Kavitha’s move to potentially revive the TRS name has added a fresh dimension to the upcoming elections.
