Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha made notable remarks during a media interaction in Hyderabad, stating that the TRS name is now free and can be used by anyone. Her comments quickly drew attention in political circles, especially as she spoke about bringing a renewed agenda before the public.
She clarified that her political approach would be guided by the principles of Acharya Jayashankar, emphasizing that her movement remains rooted in Telangana ideology. At the same time, she took a critical stance on the current functioning of BRS, describing the party as being in a dormant phase.
Alongside political remarks, Kavitha highlighted a pressing issue affecting families across the state. She expressed concern over steep fee hikes in private schools, noting that increases ranging from thirty to forty percent are putting significant pressure on middle class parents.
According to her, many school managements are collecting fees without proper regulation, and the lack of government intervention has worsened the situation. She termed the inaction as unacceptable and urged authorities to take immediate steps.
Kavitha called on the government to introduce a fee regulation law to control excessive charges and ensure affordability in education. She stressed that protecting families from financial strain should be a priority.
