Fresh discussions have emerged around employee postings at the Telangana Secretariat after reports suggested that several officials have remained in the same departments for years. The issue has reportedly become a topic of internal debate, with some employees questioning the continuation of long term postings.

Sources indicate that the Secretariat has more than 1,500 regular employees along with over 400 outsourcing staff members. Across various departments, nearly 2,000 people are said to be working, but around 150 officials reportedly continued in the same sections over the last four years.

Last year, transfer exercises were carried out during the initial months and a majority of employees and officials were moved to different positions. However, reports suggest that nearly 20 percent of staff members remained in the same place and continued in their existing roles.

According to discussions within Secretariat circles, some employees believe that key files and administrative movement often depend on a limited number of individuals who continue in influential positions. There are also claims that this may affect work flow and create concerns about transparency and efficiency.

Employees from within the Secretariat are reportedly demanding that those who have spent more than three years in a single location should be transferred under existing rules. Since the government recently lifted restrictions on transfers, attention has now shifted toward how the latest transfer process will be handled.

With the issue drawing attention among staff members and departments, many are now waiting to see whether authorities make any significant decisions before the end of the month regarding employee movement and administrative restructuring.
