After nearly a week of scorching temperatures, parts of Hyderabad finally received light to moderate rain on Tuesday evening, bringing temporary relief to residents struggling with intense summer heat. However, several districts across Telangana continued to witness severe heatwave conditions during the daytime.
According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society, Sangareddy district recorded the highest rainfall in the state. RC Puram received 20.5 mm rain, while BHEL Factory recorded 17.3 mm. Other districts including Mancherial, Rangareddy and Kumuram Bheem also witnessed scattered showers during the evening hours.

Despite the rainfall activity, weather officials stated that overall precipitation across Telangana remained low. Most districts were placed under the very light rainfall category, and Hyderabad recorded limited cumulative rainfall during the day.
Earlier in the afternoon, heatwave conditions remained severe across the state. Mendora in Nizamabad district recorded the highest temperature at 45.4 degrees Celsius. Jagtial followed closely with 45.3 degrees Celsius, while districts including Nirmal and Siddipet touched 44.7 degrees Celsius.
Hyderabad also continued to experience above normal temperatures. The city average maximum temperature stood at 41.4 degrees Celsius. Within GHMC limits, Musheerabad recorded the highest at 42.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Mehdipatnam, LB Nagar and Begumpet where temperatures crossed 42 degrees Celsius.
Although the evening showers brought brief comfort to residents, weather conditions suggest that high daytime temperatures are likely to continue in several Telangana districts over the coming days.
