SC Gurukul Schools Set Up Health Command Control Centre to Protect Students
To prevent food poisoning and medical emergencies, the SC Gurukul Society has launched a Health Command Control Centre to monitor student health daily across schools and colleges statewide.

- SC Gurukul student health monitoring strengthened.
- Daily reporting of sick students made mandatory.
- Quick response system introduced for emergencies.
The SC Gurukul Society has intensified its focus on student health by establishing a Health Command Control Centre at its headquarters. The initiative aims to prevent incidents such as food poisoning, snake bites and other medical emergencies in residential institutions.
Across Telangana, the SC Gurukul Society manages 264 schools, intermediate colleges and degree colleges, catering to nearly one and a half lakh students. In view of recurring health incidents in hostels, the government directed the society to strengthen medical monitoring and emergency response systems.
The newly set up Health Command Control Centre operates under the supervision of a Joint Secretary and includes an Additional Secretary, two doctors, two health supervisors and two junior assistants. The centre functions as a central hub to track, guide and respond to student health issues in real time.
All Gurukul institutions are required to upload details of sick students on a dedicated portal every day by 6 am. Health supervisors collect information from each campus and update student details including illness, treatment provided and current health status.
By accessing the portal, officials can view district wise and institution wise data such as student name, reason for illness, medicines administered and whether the student requires referral to a district hospital or Hyderabad for advanced care. Based on expert inputs, the command centre issues instructions to campus health supervisors.
Every morning at 9 am, the SC Gurukul Secretary Krishna Aditya conducts a Zoom review meeting with senior officials, zonal officers and command centre staff to assess the health status of students across the state.
Special alerts have also been issued for seasonal diseases. In cases of snake or scorpion bites, health supervisors are instructed to administer anti venom immediately and shift students to nearby PHCs or district hospitals. Regular advisories are being shared to prevent fever, weakness and contagious infections, ensuring safer living conditions for Gurukul students.
