A tragic incident in Bengaluru has left two families devastated after a young software couple from Telangana died by suicide, revealing a deeply personal struggle that had been hidden for years.

The incident took place under the limits of Kothanur police station in Bengaluru. Bhanu Chander Reddy, 32, originally from Siddipet district, had moved to Canada after completing his education and worked there for several years as a software engineer. However, after losing his job reportedly due to changes in the industry, he returned to India and settled in Bengaluru. Despite this, he continued to tell his parents that he was still working in Canada.

For nearly two years, Bhanu had been living in Bengaluru with his childhood friend and partner, Shazia Siraj, 31, who belongs to Medchal. The two had studied together and were in a relationship for a long time before deciding to live together. Their life appeared stable on the surface, but underlying challenges slowly took a toll.

According to reports, Bhanu had been facing health issues in recent months, adding to the stress he was already dealing with after losing his job. He also reportedly struggled during the period before returning to India, which may have affected his mental and emotional well being.

Shazia had recently traveled to her hometown to celebrate Ramzan and returned to Bengaluru earlier this week. When Bhanu did not respond or open the door, she sought help from apartment security. Upon entering the flat, they found him dead, having died by suicide.

Unable to cope with the shock and grief, Shazia later took her own life by jumping from the 17th floor of the same apartment building, turning the situation into a double tragedy within hours.

Police recovered a suicide note from the flat in which Bhanu stated that no one was responsible for his death and requested that no blame be placed on Shazia. He mentioned that his deteriorating health condition was the primary reason behind his decision.

The revelation that Bhanu had returned to India years ago and was living in Bengaluru without informing his parents has added another layer of shock for the family. They had believed he was still employed in Canada and were unaware of the struggles he was facing.

This heartbreaking case highlights the silent pressures faced by many young professionals, especially those working abroad, and the emotional burden of hiding personal setbacks from loved ones.
