Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has outlined an ambitious vision to position the state as the textile capital of South Asia by 2047. The Chief Minister highlighted that Telangana is already well equipped to attract global investors, offering reliable infrastructure, land availability, uninterrupted power, water supply, and industry friendly policies. He stressed that the state ensures faster execution of projects, making it an ideal destination for textile investments.
As part of the broader Telangana Rising 2047 vision, the government aims to transform the state into a three trillion dollar economy by the time India completes 100 years of independence. The textile sector is expected to play a key role in achieving this goal.
Revanth Reddy stated that the government is focused on developing an end to end textile value chain. From cotton cultivation in Telangana to showcasing finished products on global fashion platforms in cities like London and New York, the state plans to connect every stage of production.
He also noted that Telangana is one of the largest producers of high quality cotton, which gives it a natural advantage in textile manufacturing. The establishment of the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in Warangal has further strengthened the state’s position as a major textile hub.
The government is also prioritizing sustainability by planning to develop green textile hubs. These initiatives are aimed at ensuring that industrial growth is balanced with environmental responsibility.
In addition, the Chief Minister encouraged collaboration with the film industry, suggesting that local textile products can be promoted through cinema and entertainment platforms. He pointed out that Hyderabad has emerged as a global hub for media and innovation, further boosting opportunities for the textile sector.
With strong policy support, skilled workforce, and growing global connections, Telangana is positioning itself as a key player in the international textile industry, aiming to achieve its long term vision by 2047.
