The spirit of Vaisakhi came alive in Hyderabad as members of the Sikh community gathered in large numbers to celebrate the festival with devotion and enthusiasm. The celebrations marked the foundation day of the Khalsa Panth and brought together people from different walks of life.

The main events were held at Gurudwara Saheb Ameerpet and nearby grounds, where hundreds of devotees participated in prayers and community gatherings. The day began with Gurbani recitations and Keertans by Ragi Jathas from across the country, who shared messages of unity peace and brotherhood.

As the day progressed, the celebrations extended beyond the Gurudwara premises with a vibrant Nagar Keertan procession. The procession moved through key areas including Begumpet Punjagutta and Greenlands, attracting attention from onlookers and devotees along the route.

A decorated vehicle carrying the holy scripture led the procession, followed by Nishaan Sahib flag bearers and groups performing Shabad Keertans. Sikh youth added energy to the event by showcasing Gatka, the traditional martial art, which drew applause from the crowd.

The event also highlighted the importance of community service. Guru Ka Langar was organised where free meals were served to all visitors, reinforcing the spirit of equality and sharing. Devotees and passersby were also offered Kada Prasad tea and snacks during the procession.

The celebrations are set to continue with an overnight Keertan Darbar, where spiritual hymns will be performed, allowing devotees to immerse themselves further in prayer and reflection.
