In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, police in Warangal arrested four members of an interstate gang and seized a large quantity of hash oil valued at around Rs 2.5 crore. The operation was carried out based on specific intelligence inputs about suspicious movements in the city.

The accused, who are reportedly from Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, were caught near the railway goods shed area close to the Warangal bus stand. Police said the group was preparing to transport the contraband to Mumbai when they were intercepted.

During the raid, officers recovered 20 kilograms of hash oil from the gang. Investigators revealed that the accused had planned to sell the drugs in Mumbai as part of a larger network.

According to officials, the main accused was involved in cultivating ganja in his native place and processing it into hash oil. He allegedly worked with other members of the gang to distribute the substance across different locations.

Police further disclosed that the group had recently produced around 40 kilograms of hash oil. Out of this, another associate who is currently absconding is believed to have taken away 20 kilograms.

Authorities have launched a search operation to trace the missing accused and uncover the full extent of the network. The Warangal drug bust has highlighted the ongoing efforts by police to curb interstate narcotics trafficking and prevent the spread of illegal substances.
