The victim had been running a mobile phone shop in Keesara and had purchased a second hand motorcycle through private finance. When business slowed down he reportedly struggled to keep up with monthly payments. Family members said finance agents repeatedly visited his home demanding dues which caused severe mental distress.

According to relatives the situation escalated recently when recovery agents allegedly created a scene outside the house. Deeply shaken by the public embarrassment the man locked himself inside a room when no one else was at home and took the extreme step. He was rushed to a hospital but doctors confirmed he was already dead.

Police reached the spot after receiving information and shifted the body for postmortem examination.
