The Telangana government has taken another major step in the Bandi Bhagirath POCSO case by creating a new Special Investigation Team under the leadership of Joint Commissioner of Police Shwetha. The latest development comes as the case continues to attract widespread public attention.

Officials decided to form the new team after several social media posts connected to the case triggered concern. Authorities observed the circulation of alleged misinformation, inappropriate content and sensitive details related to the victim and the ongoing legal process.

Police sources said that online platforms witnessed large scale sharing of photographs, videos and other material linked to the case. The spread of personal details and content involving the minor victim raised serious concerns and drew criticism from multiple sections.
