Apple is stepping up its retail push in India, with fresh signs pointing to a new Apple Store in Hyderabad. Recent job listings on the company’s careers portal suggest preparations are underway, marking another milestone in Apple’s long term India strategy.
The listings indicate recruitment for key in store roles such as Store Leader, Senior Manager and Genius, positions typically announced well ahead of a store launch. Industry watchers note that Apple usually begins hiring nearly a year in advance, raising expectations that the Hyderabad store could open in early 2027.
Hyderabad’s emergence as one of India’s fastest growing technology corridors appears to be a major factor behind the move. Establishing a physical retail presence in the city is seen as a strategic step to connect directly with customers in a strong and expanding market.
Alongside Hyderabad, Apple is also preparing to open another retail outlet in Mumbai in the coming months. This would follow the recent launch of a new store in Noida, making it the company’s third retail opening within a short span as it builds momentum across major Indian cities.
Speaking earlier about expansion plans, Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president for retail and people, said the next phase of retail growth reflects the company’s deep commitment to India. She highlighted Apple’s long standing relationship with Indian customers and communities over more than two decades.
With India now among the world’s fastest growing smartphone markets, Apple’s brick and mortar expansion in cities like Hyderabad and Mumbai signals confidence in sustained demand and a focus on closer customer engagement through physical stores.
