Revanth Reddy Announces Life Insurance for Families and Digital Health Cards for 65 Lakh People

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made several major announcements related to healthcare education and social welfare while addressing a gathering during the inauguration of a Medicover Hospital facility. He said the state government is planning to provide life insurance coverage to every family in Telangana while also preparing digital health cards for nearly 65 lakh people.

Highlighting the importance of improving public health services the Chief Minister said healthcare should not become purely mechanical and must include compassion and human values. He noted that medical costs have increased significantly in recent years making treatment difficult for many ordinary families. To strengthen healthcare support the government has already spent about 1800 crore rupees on Aarogyasri and Chief Minister Relief Fund programs.

Revanth Reddy said the government is compiling health records of around 65 lakh citizens using twenty years of Aarogyasri data. Based on this information digital health cards will be issued which will help doctors quickly understand patient history and provide better treatment. The government is also focusing on cancer care and has appointed Dr Nori Dattatreyudu as an advisor to guide policies related to cancer treatment and awareness.

The Chief Minister also revealed plans to improve medical infrastructure in the state. Nearly ten thousand crore rupees will be spent on the development of hospitals including Osmania and TIMS along with expansion of medical facilities and infrastructure.

Speaking about reforms in education he said the state government is preparing a new system where students will receive education from nursery to class twelve under a structured model starting from the next academic year. He emphasized that quality education can transform society and reduce the need for multiple welfare schemes.

Revanth Reddy also announced the creation of Telangana Public Schools where students will receive quality breakfast meals and transportation facilities. Students studying in government schools will either receive free transport or a fifty percent concession to ensure easier access to education.

To prepare young people for future employment the government is also planning to establish a Skills University that will focus on developing practical abilities among students. According to the Chief Minister improving skills and education will empower youth and strengthen the overall economy.

During his speech he also praised the historical contributions of leaders who helped build Hyderabad into a major economic and technological hub. He noted that policies introduced by leaders like PV Narasimha Rao and Nedurumalli Janardhana Reddy laid the foundation for development while N Chandrababu Naidu played a key role in completing the Hitech City project and strengthening the IT sector in Hyderabad.

Revanth Reddy further said the state government believes that strong healthcare and quality education will lead to long term development. He added that the government aims to extend life insurance coverage to nearly one crore thirty lakh families across the state so that financial security can reach every household.
