Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held a series of high level meetings in the national capital, engaging with senior Congress leaders to discuss the upcoming state budget, party coordination, and key policy initiatives.
During his visit, the Chief Minister met Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge at his residence late in the evening. Accompanied by PCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud and several Members of Parliament, he briefed the leadership on the government’s plans to present a budget aimed at balancing welfare and development.
Earlier, Revanth Reddy also met Congress general secretary K C Venugopal, where discussions focused on the current political situation in the state and strengthening coordination between the party and the government. The leadership appreciated the recent political developments and interactions within the party.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the upcoming budget would prioritize social justice and address the needs of all sections of society. He also expressed gratitude for the formation of a coordination mechanism between the party and the government to ensure smooth governance.
A key highlight of the discussions was the proposed gig workers bill, which the state plans to introduce in the ongoing budget session. The bill is aimed at providing job security, safety, and social protection to lakhs of workers engaged in the gig economy across Telangana.
Officials indicated that the bill has been prepared after detailed study and consultations, and is expected to benefit a large number of workers in the state. The initiative reflects the government’s focus on emerging employment sectors and worker welfare.
As part of his Delhi schedule, the Chief Minister is also likely to meet senior national leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, to brief them on the budget proposals and legislative priorities. Meetings with Union ministers are also being sought to discuss key issues related to the state.
The visit is seen as an effort to align state policies with broader party strategy while ensuring that governance initiatives move forward with clarity and coordination.
