In a significant development, the Supreme Court has upheld the TGPSC Group 1 recruitment process, bringing clarity to a long standing dispute. The apex court refused to interfere in the matter and confirmed that the High Court verdict would remain unchanged.
The case reached the Supreme Court after several candidates challenged the earlier High Court decision. They alleged irregularities in the examination and evaluation process and demanded cancellation of the notification along with a re examination. However, their arguments failed to convince the bench.
During the hearing, the counsel representing TGPSC informed the court that the evaluation process was conducted with complete transparency. It was also highlighted that the answer sheets had been assessed multiple times to ensure accuracy and fairness in the results.
After carefully hearing both sides, the Supreme Court bench led by Justice Vikram Nath dismissed the petition filed by the candidates. The court made it clear that there was no reason to intervene or alter the High Court’s findings.
Earlier, the High Court division bench had examined the allegations of malpractice in detail. It concluded that there was no substantial evidence to support claims of irregularities in the examination process. Based on this, the court had allowed the recruitment process to continue without interruption.
With the Supreme Court now backing the High Court ruling, the controversy surrounding TGPSC Group 1 recruitment has reached a decisive turning point. The verdict is expected to provide relief to many candidates awaiting the completion of the selection process.
