Ramagundam Police Commissioner Warns Youth Against Drugs and Cyber Crimes

Ramagundam Police Commissioner Amber Kishore Jha urges students to stay away from drugs follow road safety rules and remain alert to cyber crimes during an awareness programme.

An awareness programme focusing on drugs cyber crimes and road safety was conducted in Godavarikhani as part of the Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika initiative of the Telangana government. The event was organised by the Godavarikhani One Town Police to educate students and the public about safety and responsible behaviour.

Ramagundam Police Commissioner Amber Kishore Jha attended the programme as the chief guest along with Peddapalli Deputy Commissioner of Police B Ram Reddy. The event was held at Sri Lakshmi Function Hall where police officials addressed students and explained the dangers associated with drugs cyber crimes and unsafe driving.

Speaking on the occasion Police Commissioner Amber Kishore Jha advised students to use their energy and enthusiasm in the right direction. He said youth have great potential and they should focus on education sports and activities that contribute to personal growth and social development.

The commissioner warned that addiction to drugs can destroy health and future. He urged young people to stay away from narcotic substances and also encourage others to avoid such habits. He added that police are ready to take strict action against those involved in illegal drug supply and usage.

Police officials also highlighted the growing concern over road accidents among young people. According to reports nearly sixty to seventy percent of road accident victims are youth. Students were advised to always wear helmets while riding two wheelers and use seat belts while driving cars.

Officials further explained the importance of following traffic rules such as driving on the left side of the road and maintaining caution while overtaking heavy vehicles. They stressed that driving under the influence of alcohol remains one of the main reasons behind serious accidents.

The programme also focused on cyber crime awareness. The Police Commissioner cautioned students about fraud calls suspicious links and messages asking for one time passwords. He explained that while mobile phones help connect people with the world they also create opportunities for cyber criminals.

To make the session more engaging the police cultural team performed awareness songs explaining the harmful effects of drugs. At the end of the programme participants took a pledge to stay away from drugs and spread awareness about its dangers.

Several police officers including Godavarikhani ACP M Ramesh Traffic Inspector Rajeswara Rao Inspector Indrasena Reddy and other officials attended the event. Around three hundred students participated in the awareness programme and interacted with police officers on safety related issues.
